THE ART OF SITTING SOFT

My Mom would say “Let’s go sit soft.”  She would announce this after a meal and everyone was lingering around the table. It was time to get comfortable. I kind of love this. But where did this come from, I never heard anyone use this phrase other than my mom. So I did some research. Yep, I googled it! Haha!

PRAISE FOR COBANI BLEU

Etsy Customer, Lisa had this to say:
Over the top pleased with the quality and attention to detail. The photos were excellent but seeing the chair in person was even better than expected. One word to describe it “Magnificent”. Nancy, was such a pleasure to work with responds quickly to questions. One of my favorite shops cannot wait to find more hidden treasures.

And Then This…
This is my second purchase, just could not resist buying another chair. The furniture refinishing is over the top the color is perfect goes so well with the two fabrics. Nancy is a real professional when it comes to quality and detail. The photos were excellent but seeing the chair in person was even better than expected.

Decades, if not centuries of food crumbs, dirt, hair, all neatly tucked into the nooks and crevices of old furniture. (Just another reason, gloves are part of my toolkit!) Well I’m hear to tell you, with a little guidance, a couple of tools and some tips and tricks,…

If your back door is tired and sad, I’ve got some ideas for you to spruce up your entry! Here are my quick & easy ideas to spruce up your entry. This past weekend, I gave my she shop entry a little love. This doorway was in some serious need of help. Now first of all, this door needs to be replaced, but that is not happening right now. In the meantime, it could also use a coat of paint, but I didn’t do that either. Maybe this fall, when it cools off a tad bit. What I decided to…

Design Bleuprint: Anatomy of a Chair

Let’s talk about the anatomy of a chair. In upholstery speak, knowing the anatony of a chair is useful when we start measuring a chair for fabric, laying out the fabric, cutting it, marking it and finally in applying it to the frame. Most of the chair parts are pretty straight forward; inside back, inside arm, inside wing, outside back, etc. But let’s talk about a few items that may not be so familiar. Box Cushion – Most loose cushions on chair and couches are box cushions. These cushions have a top, bottom and a band connecting them creating a…
