THE ART OF SITTING SOFT

My Mom would say “Let’s go sit soft.”  She would announce this after a meal and everyone was lingering around the table. It was time to get comfortable. I kind of love this. But where did this come from, I never heard anyone use this phrase other than my mom. So I did some research. Yep, I googled it! Haha!

PRAISE FOR COBANI BLEU

Etsy Customer, Lisa had this to say:
Over the top pleased with the quality and attention to detail. The photos were excellent but seeing the chair in person was even better than expected. One word to describe it “Magnificent”. Nancy, was such a pleasure to work with responds quickly to questions. One of my favorite shops cannot wait to find more hidden treasures.

And Then This…
This is my second purchase, just could not resist buying another chair. The furniture refinishing is over the top the color is perfect goes so well with the two fabrics. Nancy is a real professional when it comes to quality and detail. The photos were excellent but seeing the chair in person was even better than expected.

I had a blast transforming this old La-Z-Boy recliner into a funky chair for a special tween! Vintage La-Z-Boy chairs can be updated for any decor. Think of the possibilities to add a fun chair to a space, whether it be team colors in a man cave or a using a chenille spread for a shabby chic look or a vintage inspired nursery. The chairs are comfortable and they can rock, swivel and recline. What more could you ask for in a chair! I updated this La-Z-Boy recliner years ago when I was still new to upholstery. In fact I…

How to Rock A Grainsack and Gingham Chair

Grainsack and Gingham go together like Authentic and Vintage! They are simply better together! Seriously, what could possibly be better than a vintage chair updated with authentic grainsack and gingham! Let’s start at the beginning. Here is a chair in dire need of some updating. It has great potential with its curves and spindles, but in it’s present state, it is sad, dull and dark. The black pleather was doing it no favors. The wood was very dark and one arm had some sort of glue or residue on it. It was very splotchy and messy looking. I scraped and…

Easy Brunswick Stew Recipe

Brunswick Stew That’s Super Easy & Delicious

Brunswick Stew was on the menu this cold and blustery weekend. It seems winter just won’t quit this year. We hopefully had our last freeze of the spring this weekend, so I made some soul warming Brunswick Stew and cornbread. Brunswick Stew is a southern thing and may have started with local beans, wild game and a tomato base, but I think of it as a BBQ dish. This recipe is not mine, I found it on the blog Spicy Southern Kitchen by Christin Mahrilig. What I love about this recipe, is that it is so easy to make, so…
